Stage Crew Society: Treasurer

I have worked on a wide range of Blooms shows (14+) during my time in Stage Crew and in a variety of roles; from stagehand, roles in set, to sound designer and CSM. I have gained a great understanding of how Stage Crew works, the requirements of a treasurer and where I could be most supportive. Having been CSM for Opera 2025 and multiple lead role including Carousel Sound Designer, I know how hires work and realise the role I would play in contacting fellow societies to deal with funds. I understand the unique pressure stage crew has when it comes to inter-societal transfers and Student Union timings. 

• Accessibility – I aim to support those who may struggle to access the theatre due to disability, experience and confidence.
• CSM and Lead Crew guidance - I would support CSM with clear guides to making hires. Breaking it down to ensure they have the correct information and understanding of how to do, so they can share the knowledge with future Stage Crew members.
• Bloomsbury Theatre Officer/ CSMs - I would work closely with both roles to make sure timeframes are achievable and support is provided when needed.
• Fair Chance - Making sure all applications are considered fairly, in line with Stage Crew constitution and the SU Policy of fair chance.
• Presidential support - In my role, I would make sure I am successful in supporting the president in their role, achieving tasks asked from them in a timely manner.

I joined stage Crew from the start, and although I do a lot across societies, Stage Crew has always remained my number one priority.

I have given my time, blood (yes), sweat and tears to this society, 

I'm on top of it.

I will work with the incoming president to lobby for Stage Crew to be paid for the shows we do.

I'm also a member of acitivies zone, and am well acquainted with each sabbatical officer. I am working through passing a policy proposal through union exec, and so am familiar with sluggish union processes and buerocracy.

I also have really cool merch ideas so I will ALSO work with the incoming vice-president to see to it we get:
    - higher quality shirts with the proper stage crew font
    - quality embroidered hoodies
    - pin badges

I also have a good rate of communication with members of Dramasoc, Shakesoc, and MTsoc and will work on improving communication with them to reduce friction with producers, directors, and cast whilst working on productions in the future, to make the whole ordeal more pleasant for everyone involved.

Stage Crew is medicine for me.
Working together on something urgent, creative, and complex, brings you close to people very quickly, I've made some very good friends. I love it, and I'm here to
