Hreday Soni

I’m running for Treasurer of the UCL Squash Society because I want to help the club grow and make squash more accessible for everyone. Having managed budgets in past projects and worked on sustainability initiatives, I understand how to make the most of limited resources. If elected, I’d push the Students’ Union to let the society use the courts at a subsidised rate instead of the standard £4 per 45 minutes, so we can invest more in better equipment and organising socials to strengthen our community. I’d also focus on securing sponsorships and grants to reduce costs for members and improve access to quality coaching. My goal is to make sure the society is financially sustainable while making squash more enjoyable and inclusive for all.

Ambuj Mittal

I’m a first-year mathematics student at UCL with a passion for numbers, problem-solving, and squash. Since joining the UCL Squash Society at the start of the year, I’ve enjoyed all the society has to offer especially the coached sessions and the competitive inter-club tournaments.

My studies have given me a solid foundation in maths, and I’m eager to apply these skills in a practical setting. Being treasurer is not only a chance to support the squash community but also an opportunity to further my growing interest in finance with budgeting, and overall money management being key features of this industry.

Managing the society’s finances is a responsibility I take seriously and my experience with spreadsheets will help me maintain clear and accurate records of transactions. I will ensure to submit required forms on time and hope to advise on budgets for various events.

Ultimately, I am excited contribute in any way to this community and I believe becoming a treasurer is the most appropriate way.

Pranay Bernard Ross

I have decided to run for the role of Treasurer since I am passionate about squash and am dedicated to ensuring the club's success. With my background in Maths and Further Maths in A-Levels, as well as my course requiring extensive knowledge of maths (Chemical Engineering), coupled with my organisation's skills, I am confident that I can deliver to the club's financial needs and allocate resources effectively to benefit all members. I hope to make a meaningful impact on the future of the Squash Club, aiming to attract more people to join and ensure a positive community is upheld.

Thank you for your kind consideration!

Kind regards

Pranay Ross
