As the only 1s member that has bothered to turn up to a squash social, I feel as if that is qualification alone.
However I must make my case:
Having played squash for nearly 15 years throughout the different levels of junior and adult competitions, I have experienced lots of different leagues and tournaments. To name a few, I have played in Yorkshire league div1/2 since age 15 and the Hull and district league since 14. I also represented Yorkshire and East Yorkshire in numerous national/regional tournaments, including, most notably, the 2017 Northern Cup, where Yorkshire traditionally steamroll the other Northern Counties - 2017 was no different, however my team didn't drop a match.
Pairing this experience with other captaincy positions in the past (namely hockey 👀), I know I can handle the responsibilities of the role and can hopefully guide the team to win the league next season - by giving "stellar [qualified] coaching".
I'm always open to meeting new people and I've come to a few of the social squash sessions. I'm hoping to integrate the 1s more with the rest of the club and hopefully get them going to more socials (please guys) by introducing match items for some games, getting the team to travel together more often and hopefully getting the boys into Scala after topping the league.
Let's win the league. and continue our reign as the best team in London
Adam.
