Spanish and Latin American Society: Head of Conference & Debates

I am eager to apply for the position of Head of Conference and Debate at the UCL Spanish Society because I believe there is a significant lack of engaging debates and conferences within the society, and I want to change that. As President of the International Debate Society of Madrid, I gained extensive experience organizing high-profile events, including collaborations with a U.S. senator and a leading human rights institute. This role allowed me to develop strong leadership, organizational, and networking skills, managing everything from securing distinguished speakers to overseeing event logistics. I am passionate about fostering intellectual discussion and believe the Spanish Society has immense potential to offer thought-provoking debates and conferences that reflect Spain’s cultural, political, and economic relevance. My goal is to create a space where students can challenge ideas, broaden their perspectives, and engage with experts from various fields.
