As most people studying Engineering and Architectural Design, integrated design is something that I am deeply interested in. I am excited to highlight cutting-edge technologies and research but also more mundane but significant aspects of architecture that impact daily life: balancing technical depth with stories that make readers reflect on the built environment and technology in a more personal, relatable way. I also would want to interrogate Architecture and Engineering as a profession itself, its "eureka moments" and sacrifices, and how it shapes our lives as students studying design.
From struggling to decipher obscure architectural theory books to diving deep into Dezeen articles' angry comment sections, I am fascinated by how architecture and engineering is discussed, critiqued and communicated and would enjoy the editorial challenges of running a publication. As current Vice-President of SEAD, I also have experience in organisational events and fostering dialogue between the two disciplines.
