Amy Yu

Hi everyone, I’m Amy, a first-year student who’s been snowboarding for 13 years. After my first season on skis at 6, I switched to snowboarding the next year and instantly fell in love with it. Since then, I’ve been a dedicated boarder. This year, I discovered the thrill of racing. I’ve already adapted quickly to dry slope training, with my good organising and communication skills, I’m eager to lead the team to new heights while sharing my passion for this incredible sport.

As your snowboard captain, here are my goals:

- I’ll grow the racing community by hosting taster sessions at the start of each term, encouraging more boarders to join and creating a welcoming environment for riders of all levels.

- I’ll partner with snowboard brands to promote racing on social media, offering giveaways, discounts, and sponsored events to attract more participants and showcase our team’s progress and achievements.

- I’ll foster a supportive team atmosphere where everyone feels motivated to push their limits and celebrate each other’s successes.

- I’ll introduce beginner-friendly sessions to help new riders get started in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

Snowboard racing is about creating unforgettable experiences,  friendships. I am confident about making UCL Snowboard Racing the best it can be. I’m ready to put in the work, to bring fresh ideas, and to make this year one we’ll all look back on with pride.
