I am excited to run for Welfare Officer of UCL’s Sikh Society.

As a first-year representative, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment. If elected, my priority will be to ensure every member feels safe, valued, and supported, both academically and personally.

As Welfare Officer, I will offer support to members dealing with academic stress, personal challenges, and mental health issues. I will be a trusted point of contact, providing guidance and connecting members to relevant resources and services. My aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable reaching out for help, knowing they will be met with understanding and care.

I will also introduce initiatives focused on mental health and well-being, including workshops and events that promote self-care, mindfulness, and stress management. By fostering a culture of kindness and solidarity, we can ensure no one feels isolated.

Above all, I will work closely with the committee and external organisations to ensure our support services align with Sikh values and reflect the needs of our members.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
