Sikh Society: Treasurer

WJKK WJKF, I am running for Treasurer of our Sikh Society because I want to ensure we have the financial stability and resources to grow, host impactful events, and make a real difference on campus in the coming year. A well-managed budget is key to a thriving society, and I’m ready to take on the responsibility of making our funds work effectively for our members.

I will ensure that our finances are handled transparently and efficiently, securing sponsorships and partnerships to expand our event offerings. Whether it's our flagship events, Kirtan Darbar and LOC, or new engaging socials and speaker sessions, I will work to ensure our budget is used as effectively as possible.

Additionally, I want to explore new ways to generate funding, such as merchandise sales or sponsorships, ensuring that the society remains financially sustainable for years to come. With strong organisation, quantitative skills and ample financial experience, I will ensure our society is well-funded, impactful, and positioned to grow.

I also want to create fundraising social events for charitable causes, staying true to the Sikh values of seva and giving back to the community. From charity sports tournaments to networking events, I will introduce creative ways to raise money while also bringing people together. By collaborating with other societies and external organisations, we can maximise our impact and contribute to causes that align with our Sikh values.
