Theatre has been a cornerstone of my university experience: from Drama and Musical Theatre to Shakespeare, I could not imagine university without it. During my time as a part of this society, I have come to understand the demands that come with balancing rehearsals and performances with academic life. My aim is to ensure that every member feels valued, supported, and able to enjoy their time in the society to the fullest.
As a psychology student, I have developed a deep understanding of mental well-being and the importance of fostering a positive, safe environment. This, I believe, would make me an excellent choice for welfare officer. I am committed to being an approachable and empathetic point of contact for any concerns within the society, whatever they relate to.
I have loved seeing this amazing society grow during my time at UCL and I would be very proud to be a part of that continued growth next year. I believe I have the skills and dedication to curate a supportive, inclusive and vibrant space for all, ensuring that everyone, whether a seasoned performer or a first-time participant, feels at home within the Shakespeare Company.
