Scuba Club: Treasurer

Hello Scuba Club members,

My name is Chloë Larsen, and I am excited to run for Treasurer. I am a BSc Applied Medical Sciences student at UCL, and an active member of the Scuba Diving society. I am deeply passionate about both diving and effective financial management. I believe my experience in leadership, fundraising, and managing budgets makes me a strong candidate for this role.

I have led fundraising campaigns, such as raising over CHF10,000 for KULE, a non-profit supporting rural communities in Kenya. In this role, I managed finances, organized events, and ensured transparency—skills that directly align with the responsibilities of the Treasurer. Additionally, my experience volunteering with organizations like GVI’s Sea Turtle Conservation and Reefscapers in the Maldives has provided me with a strong sense of environmental responsibility and teamwork.

Through these experiences, I have developed key skills in project management, financial planning, and organization, which will help me manage and track the society’s budget efficiently.

As Treasurer, I am committed to ensuring that our trips and events are well-planned and financially responsible. I would love the opportunity to contribute to the success of UCL Scuba Club and help organize smooth, enjoyable, and affordable scuba diving experiences for all members.
