Visiting the Saudi Society made me feel like I was part of something bigger, a real community. From the warm welcomes to the shared traditions. Those experiences helped me connect with others, embrace my culture, and feel truly included. Now, I want to give back by getting more involved. I want to help create that same sense of belonging for other students, whether they’re new and looking for familiar faces or just hoping to connect more with their culture. By organizing events and encouraging engagement, I hope to make the Saudi Society a space where everyone feels welcome, just like I did.
As Media and Communications Officer, my goal is to enhance the UCL Saudi Society’s visibility and engagement, ensuring members experience the best representation of Saudi culture. Through innovative communication strategies, I aim to strengthen outreach, foster belonging, and encourage active participation.
A key focus will be maintaining a strong digital presence, ensuring timely updates, high-quality content, and engaging posts that reflect the society’s values. Leveraging social media and other channels, I will keep members informed about events, initiatives, and opportunities while creating interactive content that enhances engagement and inclusivity.
I will also foster a more interactive communication approach, encouraging discussions and feedback to create a space where ideas are shared, experiences celebrated, and connections strengthened. By promoting collaboration and participation, I will help the society grow as a welcoming and vibrant community.
Moreover, representing Saudi culture authentically will be central to my efforts. I will curate media content that highlights Saudi traditions, showcasing both historical and modern aspects. This includes celebrating national events and collaborating with other societies to enhance cross-cultural understanding.
With creativity, organisation, and strong communication skills, I am committed to upholding the society’s objectives, ensuring an enriching experience for all members.
