Hi, I’m Lillie! With a background in English, a passion for music, and experience producing authentic journalism, I’d love to bring fresh ideas to UnCL! Having a Rare FM show has taught me how to create engaging content that’s both fun and meaningful. Music is incredibly important to both shaping culture and bringing people together - it’s a universal form of communication! I am committed to continuing to shape UnCL into a space where every music genre, voice, and story is celebrated. UnCL deserves to be a renowned platform that reflects the beauty and art of music. I would love to help continue its impact!

I am standing as content editor of UnCL because since becoming involved with the magazine in October 2024, I have found a place where I can explore and further develop my interest in music journalism and writing. Through the magazine, I have had the opportunity to interview numerous bands and develop my skills as a music writer, both of which have been very enjoyable activities. Writing for UnCL has also inspired me to develop my own music blog, where I write more opinion-led pieces.
Therefore, since I really enjoy writing for the magazine, I want to take on an editorial role so I can help run a publication that means so much to me. Also throughout this year, with each article and by working with the current editors, I have developed my own writing and editing skills, and believe I have the skills necessary to help run the UnCL publication.
If I were nominated for the role, I would ensure that the magazine continues to allow for a such a large variety of writers and articles, and ensure that the magazine is widely advertised and distributed across UCL. I would also consider introducing a system where articles are published onto the UnCL blog half-termly, and still keeping to the publication of the physical magazine termly.
I would also suggest the idea for the publication of articles to come with an opportunity for an interview, where authors can talk about their article. This would then be posted on the UnCL instagram as a way of generating further traction for the magazine.
