Anika Vijay

Hi everyone! I’m Anika, a first-year student passionate about Quantitative Finance, with experience at Jane Street and SIG. Through these experiences, I’ve gained insight into trading strategies, probability, and programming, and I want to use this knowledge to grow Quant Society into a dynamic, hands-on community for all quant enthusiasts.

If elected as VP, I will:
✔️ Organize estimathons, trading competitions, and coding challenges
✔️ Host OA & interview prep workshops to help members succeed in quant firm hiring processes
✔️ Set up networking events with industry professionals, traders, and recruiters
✔️ Foster a fun, supportive, and engaging community through interactive meetups

Whether you're a beginner looking to break into quant or an advanced trader wanting to refine your skills, I want Quant Society to be your go-to platform for learning, networking, and competing. Let’s make it bigger, better, and more exciting together!

Mohamad El Habbal

I'm running for Vice President because I want to make Quant Society more active and valuable for students. This year, I’ve been involved in both Quant and Fintech Society, hosting a stock price prediction hackathon, running a quant finance workshop, and working with other societies like Data Science. Since Quant Society didn’t have a president, I used my role in Fintech to help organise events and secure rooms, making sure both societies could run bigger events for more people.

I also have experience in algorithmic trading, with a strategy that’s returned over 40% in the last eight months, and achieved a CAGR of 63% over a 20-year backtest. I want to bring more hands-on opportunities like trading competitions, workshops, and speaker events so members can build real quant skills.

As a Computer Science student, I bring a strong programming background, which complements the more maths-focused approach many take in quant. I want to use this to expand the society’s focus on practical, technical skills that are directly useful in quant finance.

As VP, I’ll focus on getting more industry connections, running useful events, and making sure the society is a place where students can actually apply what they learn.
