Quant Society: Treasurer

Hey everyone! I'm Jared, current welfare officer of the Quant Society, and running to be this year's treasurer!

I hope to continue my work within this society for the coming year, contributing my best efforts towards bringing this society to life and giving students who are also interested in quantitative finance workshops and talks to succeed with their career ambitions.

I believe that I have the skills to excel as a treasurer. Being a mathematics major, I am confident with working with numbers as well as having strong organisational abilities, thus allowing me to effectively manage finances. Furthermore, I have a strong sense of familiarity with building Excel spreadsheets, having previously done internships with companies such as Manulife involving Excel modelling, to efficiently solve any financial difficulties and keep things well organised. As treasurer, my main goal is to provide more opportunities through gaining more funding for larger-scale quant events in the next year, potentially collaborating with other universities.

I am committed to making this society more active and inclusive, regardless of quant knowledge. With my strong communication, collaboration, and organisational abilities, I am confident that I am the right person for the treasurer role if nominated, helping the society achieve its goals.
