Millicent Cheung

Hi, I’m Millicent, a first-year Economics student and an active member of UCLPASS for 2024/25. With a strong sense of organization and a proactive approach to challenges, I constantly strive for excellence in everything I do.

The Vice President bridges members and ensures cohesion within the society. I believe a team works best when everyone’s voice is heard and respected. My previous experiences have equipped me with the communication skills needed to resolve conflicts efficiently.

Being part of UCLPASS has helped me grow into a more outgoing, empathetic person with a greater awareness of social issues. Now, I wish to give back by helping freshers navigate university life with more ease, empowering subcommittee members to reach their potential, and raising awareness of important social and public affairs.

I wish to continue help build a 'home away from home' for Hong Kong students by Hearing all voices, organising more socials for Opportunities for connection, Maintaining a strong community and ensuring External relations.

Bedat Lee

Who - Hi guys, this is Bedat. When I first started uni, I was overwhelmed by anxiety and homesickness. But UCLPASS rescued me from the abyss. The welcoming environment really shed light on my uni life, and as a newcomer once, I am eager to pass on that same spirit through creating a community that fosters a sense of belonging and supports freshers in adjusting to uni life.

Why - My previous leadership experiences have equipped me with skills like event planning, team coordination, and communication that are crucial for being a VP. Additionally, my 10-year career in chess has instilled in me a strong attention to detail. These qualities not only allow me to turn creative ideas into practical plans but also make me the ideal person to handle dispute resolution within the committee, which is the main job of VP in essence.
