Hey! This is Arielle, a first year pharmacy student with more than six years of experience in volunteering. Over the years, I came to realise that serving is more than just Giving. It is about 'IGNITING FIRE IN PEOPLE'S HEARTS'. With a heart that feels and echoes for others, ignite others' fire of hope! I will impact our members to foster the understanding of how rewarding it can be to serve others through organizing regular volunteering opportunities, touching upon areas including lunch distribution, and children tutoring and support. A single spark can start a prairie fire. Discover the inner voices of those in need. Every one of your strength counts!

Hello! My name is Dawn, and I am running for the position of Social Service Officer. I have been an active member of the UCLPASS society since October, I am part of the Social Service subcommittee and was a member of the Amazing Race Operation team. Having studied in the United Kingdom for eight years, I have gained valuable perspectives and experiences. Through my volunteering experience in both HK and the UK, I have been able to interact with people of all ages. I have seen firsthand the challenges faced by some elderly individuals as well as children in society, issues that often neglected. These experiences have shown me how important it is to give back, and how even small actions can make a big difference in someone's life. The smiles and gratitude I’ve received remind me of the positive impact we can have on others. I believe that my background can help me contribute positively to our society and inspire others to get involved.
My vision for UCLPASS in 2025-2026 as the proposed Social Service Officer includes not only supporting members in cultivating a sense of belonging within the society but also strengthening connections between our members and the communities in both the UK and HK through diverse volunteering opportunities. I aim to create a welcoming space for members to share experiences and engage in social service initiatives, as well as encourage active participation in various volunteering activities and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Hello, I am Charlotte Chan. As a member of the UCL PASS subcommittee, I have found it to be a warm and comfortable environment, where I really appreciate the support of others. Through various events within PASS, I have gained a deeper understanding of the roles of different departments, and I believe cooperations within different departments are crucial for developing a good society. During the Amazing Raise event, it has showcased our strong teamwork and the high quality of our outcomes. I also had experiences of volunteering and being on leadership roles like House Captain and committee member in two different societies during my high school. I have learnt how to manage my time, and most importantly communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups. These experiences have been invaluable to be in the process of learning to become a well-organised and determined candidate. To contribute further to this society, I am running for the position of Social Service Officer for the upcoming year. There are different visions that I have for the coming year, they are engaging with members and PASS from other universities, raise awareness of social issues, encourage communications with other departments and lastly ensuring all members feel included and valued.
