I was a student in Hong Kong for 12 years, before starting school in the UK from Year 11. Since then, I have lost opportunities to feel at home with friends from the same place as me. UCLPASS has granted me a valuable chance to work with peers from Hong Kong & gain new, precious memories and friendships from this.
Over the last year, I have been an active member of the UCLPASS Social Services subcommittee & the Operations and Logistics department in the Amazing Raise Committee 2024-2025.
The learnings & happiness UCLPASS brought me have given me the drive to help more individuals feel the same way.
Skills
- Approachable personality enabling me to connect with Hong Kong students of varying backgrounds e.g. brought up locally/have studied in the UK before. This would allow me to support UCLPASS in maintaining a tight internal network, whilst also connecting with a variety of students from other universities' PASS.
- Calm and patient in dealing with varying demands, useful in hosting flagships where group decisions should be made.
- Willing listener & respectful of others’ opinions so no creative ideas go unheard.
Experience
- Leadership skills from being House Captain, founder of school's Psychology Society, Homeroom Representative & Management Director of an Editorial Team.
- Active participation in numerous PASS activities - GPS Mentorship Scheme, Global Village, Alumni Mentorship Scheme, Amazing Raise 2025 (Internal & External), LSE Forum (spectator), Cambridge Inter-University

About ME
Hi! I am Rover, a responsible and passionate sociology student. Alongside my studies, I also actively engage in both internal and external UCLPASS events. Being a part of UCLPASS has been one of the most incredible parts of my journey at UCL. Here, I have built many lasting friendships and created countless precious memories. Not to mention, it has also rewarded me with various opportunities for personal development, such as being in the AR committee and SS subcommittee. I can confidently say that I have developed communication and organisational skills, and these experiences will allow me to lead UCLPASS to continue thriving as the president.
Last but not least, I am sincerely grateful to everyone in UCLPASS for providing me with such a marvellous experience. I truly hope to give back to the society by continuing its success and bringing it to the next level.
My Vision - PASS - more in my manifesto!
People – Catering to the People of UCLPASS (including all committees, subcommittees and members) will always be my top priority.
Ambition - Promoting constant growth through new initiatives and improving upon previous successes, while maintaining the traditional values of UCLPASS.
Solidarity - Maintaining strong inter-university connections with other HKPASS societies.
Social impacts – Contributing to the society through social service events. Furthermore, I aim to provide a platform to raise awareness for public affairs in Hong Kong and promoting the Hong Kong culture.
