Cześć (Hi)!,
It has been an honour being your President from November. During my Presidency our society has grown to be one of the biggest University Polish Societies in the UK. For which I credit myself, my team and all of you.
As a result of this surge in engagement I, alongside my team have been able to host and create amazing events such as our Independence Day event, The World Cup (which we will win next year), Andrzejki, SSEESMAS, Tłusty Czwartek, etc.. Additionally, have had the privilege of representing Polish Students at UCL and other major institutions like The Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs. I would like to continue to push for Polish representation in these institutions and in more.
After such a fantastic year I would like to rerun as President as I believe that we have a lot more to achieve.
As your President I pledge to:
- Set up a language learning system - for which I have already created the foundations
- Form better connections with our embassy and hopefully have some amazing events with them
- Invite more guest speakers
- Collaborate with our wider Polish community e.g. the Sikorski Instytut, Ognisko & PMS
- Host events not only targeted at the UCL Polish community, but the wider UCL community to engage other people in Polish history and culture
- Create resources for Polish students to find Polish connections in London
- Maintain the good relationships we have built with other London Polish Societies
- Continue our tradition of FREE pączki :D!
Dziękuję (I thank you)!

Hi everyone!
I’m applying for the position of President of the Polish Society because I see a lot of untapped potential. Throughout the past year, I’ve been organizing meetings for Poles in London and attending Polish Society events. However, I feel that many simple things are missing—things that are common in other schools, such as watching national team matches together.
Additionally, I believe there’s a lack of integration with other universities. There have been a dinner and a bar meetup, but integration can happen in a million other ways—ones that are more engaging than just staying in one place.
I have extensive experience in event organization and leadership roles from festivals, conferences, etc., so I know how easy it is to implement new initiatives that, at little to no cost, can create many more engaging events—even something as simple as playing flanki.
Moreover, I think reviving the WhatsApp group and having discussions there about what people expect from the Polish Society, what ideas they have, etc., could bring a fresh perspective and more opportunities for members to have a say in what actually happens.
