I’m standing for Vice President because I know what it’s like to pour yourself into something you love—to push through challenges, to demand more from yourself, to crave that feeling of growth and accomplishment. Pole has given me that. And I want to give back. I’ve competed, I’ve performed, and I’ve had nights where things didn’t go as planned. I know the highs and lows of pushing yourself in a sport that demands both strength and vulnerability. And I want to be the person that makes this society a place where every member feels seen, motivated, and valued.
With experience as Vice President of a global organization, I’ve managed international teams, planned large-scale events, and worked to create spaces where people feel engaged. I know how to organize, communicate, and make things happen—whether it’s handling logistics behind the scenes or making sure everyone is having the time of their lives. I have also been practising aerial silks for the past 7 years and it has given me a deep appreciation for movement, creativity, and the thrill of pushing past comfort zones—something I want to help others experience in our society.
As VP, I’d ensure smooth operations, support the committee, and push for an inclusive, thriving environment. Whether it’s working on logistics, hyping up our members, or being a steady, reliable presence, I’m here for it. Because I love this sport, I believe in this society, and I know we can build something incredible together.

Over the past year as Treasurer, I’ve loved being an integral part of this club—working with the committee, supporting members, and creating a space where everyone can thrive, develop skills, and most importantly, have fun while feeling safe and supported. I have dedicated time to supporting the daily running of club activities such as supervising most open practice sessions and creating the weekly newsletter. Key achievements this year:
- Increased instructor pay to retain our fantastic coaches.
- Funded training for our competition team.
- Extended our aerial class timetable.
- Got two new poles.
- Lowered the price of kit.
- Established a secure UCL email to protect member data.
As I enter my third year of a PhD, I believe the Vice-President role is a perfect fit. As a current principal officer, I bring experience, continuity, and knowledge of Student Union processes, ensuring a smooth transition while empowering the new leaders. More than anything, I love Pole and this community. I want to continue giving back while stepping into a role that allows others to take the lead. With years of student experience (and many degrees later!), I understand the highs and lows of student life and am committed to supporting the committee and all members. I have so many ideas for socials, workshops, and performances, which I'm excited to now focus on in this role.
💜 Vote for me as Vice-President! 🩵
I’d love to keep contributing to this amazing club—and yes, I’ll keep putting up the poles for every class!
