Being a part of PiMedia has helped me rediscover my passion for writing. Being in uni, balancing leisure and academic writing can be difficult, but I believe Pi approaches it so that writing can be used as a break from all the school stress. I am standing as Marketing Officer because I want to help more people step into student media and discover the joy of writing in a supportive and creative environment where there are no judgements or consequences for making mistakes. I want to expand PiMedia’s reach, ensuring that more students—whether seasoned writers or complete beginners—feel encouraged to contribute and engage with the publication. Approaching journalism can be daunting, and I believe that a welcoming and well-promoted platform can make it more accessible for students of all backgrounds.
Additionally, through my experience as a Marketing Intern these past two summers, and also having run the UCL Kickboxing social media accounts, I believe I've got the necessary expertise to do this job successfully. I would use my marketing skills to boost PiMedia’s visibility across campus and online, creating engaging content, increasing readership and contribution, and fostering a stronger sense of community within the publication.
