I am standing for the position of Treasurer in the UCL Physics Society because I am passionate about ensuring the society's financial health and transparency. With experience running two of my own businesses—one in the culinary space and another in teaching—I have honed my skills in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
In my culinary business, where I served as the Head of Baking, I was responsible for managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring profitability. Similarly, in my teaching business, I handled financial planning and resource allocation to provide the best possible learning experience for my students.
As Treasurer, I will:
- Ensure Financial Transparency: Maintain clear and transparent financial records, making sure that all members are informed about the society's financial status.
- Efficient Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets effectively to support a wide range of engaging events and activities.
- Strategic Planning: Implement strategic financial plans to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the society.
With my entrepreneurial experience and strong financial management skills, I am confident in my ability to serve as an effective Treasurer for the UCL Physics Society.
