Hi everyone!

I am applying for the role of vice-president to try to revive this society. Let's be honest, the events happens very rarely and talks are brief on non-modern topics. I would love to engage in discussions on CURRENT issues in Philosophy - should we allow for the creation of genetically modified humans? Should AI have rights and can we ever know if it's conscious? And then, these events can be followed with a social so students can actually have a say in these discussions!! Let's make this society argue about contemporary topics, things that actually concern us in the immediate future or present times. Let's become philosophers ourselves and not just listen to old people talk every 3 months. Thank you for your time!
