From a terrified fresher in a borrowed football top at Simmons to attending more netball socials than Thursday lectures. Nights out, themes and chaos were a highlight of my first year. Being surrounded by UCNC’s amazing girls and social secs helped me to adjust to UCL social life and now, I want to make sure everyone gets to experience the same. I'm Rawan and I would love to be your social sec - ready to bring the energy, fun and chaos xx
I hope to continue many iconic UCNC ‘seshball’ traditions, such as joint socials and pub crawls to preserve its overall goofiness. I hope to bring more interactive socials, like house/flat parties with challenges and games, ensuring fun (and maybe blurry) memories every Wednesday. My ideas include an après-ski social with snowsports society and an I'm a Celeb social to embrace the jungle. I'll also mix in more intimate, chilled socials to make sure everyone is involved. My success planning a Year 13 graduation after party, means I have the facilities to plan unreal socials where everyone has a blast.
My high commitment to the club's social life (the last one on the Scala dance floor) means I recognise UCNC’s members are the core of its success and will prioritise feedback to keep netball’s social life thriving and connected throughout the year.
I'd love to be a member of the 25-26 committee and believe my skills, personality and familiarity with the club's members and social values make me capable of continuing netball’s great social legacy.

Hi everyone, it’s Lulah and I'm so excited to run for social sec!
From day one, I have been all in with netball socials - evident through my 100% social attendance, and 95% Scala attendance (proud Scala warrior!). While my personal tutor may be upset that my Scala attendance is higher than my Thursday attendance, I think this shows my true commitment to loving a Wednesday night.
I’m committed to bringing a fresh, fun, and light-hearted atmosphere to the club, creating an environment where everyone feels they belong. this year’s themes but recognise that during academic pinch points attendance understandably dips. So, I plan to mix in some less demanding socials – think a casual pub night with all your mates. That being said, I do have some great plans for themes to let my creativity shine! Planning a drunk sports day, white and red stripes for Where’s Wally, princess and the frog, with fresher’s head to toe in green and the others dressed to the nines being princesses, are only the start.
If you’re still reading, thank you so much for your time, so let's cut to the point! I promise to throw myself into this role to ensure you all look forward to Wednesdays just as much as I do. I hope my vision sounds exciting and is something you want to be a part of, and if so, I’d really appreciate your vote so I can make all my crazy ideas a reality.
Lots of Love, Lulah x

I would love to be next year’s Social Secretary. I’ve been made to feel so welcome and have had such a good time this year and want to create that same fun and inclusive atmosphere for everyone next year. I have tons of exciting social ideas, including dress code themes like “Rhyme Without Reason” and “Dress as Your Type,” as well as classic pub events like Pub Golf and Pub Crawls. I also want to arrange joint socials with other societies, as those have been some of the most enjoyable events this year.
One idea I’m particularly excited about is a Taskmaster-themed social, where everyone will take on a series of fun tasks both before and during the event, with prizes for the best efforts and forfeits for the worst answers or losers. I’d also love to host more socials with prizes like pub quizzes and other fun challenges.
Another fun idea is a “Drinking Olympics” sports night, where I will organise a series of drinking games—such as beer pong, flip cup, and drinking relay races—competing as teams. Of course, there will be prizes for the winners and forfeits for the losers! I’m eager to bring more of these fun, engaging socials to life and ensure everyone has a memorable year ahead.
