Hi I am Jonathan from first year Natural sciences! I’m passionate to join the committee of Natural Sciences society and contribute to our community as an academic officer. I am taking the Synthetic Chem (Inorganic and organic) and Biomedical sciences route, but I’ll do my best to plan events that accommodate all routes (covering biology chemistry and physics, even earth sciences and STS).

I enjoy collaborating and outreaching so I will make connections with professionals in our fields and organise academic talks (with professors in our department and other depts too). These talks will be covering a wide variety of topics within natural sciences as everything in science is Natural sciences…

Some events to include:

  • Talks
  • Revision sessions/nights (with snacks and drinks!) closer to exam season so people who like to study together have a go-to place
  • Visits to museums/libraries (eg. Natural History museum, British library)
  • Revision/general quiz nights (with prizes!)
