Hi
If you don't know me already, I am currently String Orchestra Manager, Concert Band Saxophonist, and ex Symphony Orchestra Violist. In the wider artsUCL scene, I was in the band for Shrek and Carousel, the only viola in Rhapsody 2025, and timpani mover.
Seen as String Orchestra still has active members, that can probably serve as evidence that I am at least somewhat capable of managing people and organizing things. I would also say I am tech savvy enough to do whatever admin, navigation of the SU booking system, and emailing that is required.
President needs to communicate cross societies, especially with Live Music, Jazz and Musical Theatre. Guess what? I know quite a few people who are heavily involved in those societies, which makes it significantly easier to be able to contact me (because chances are you'll know someone who knows me)
If you're not sure about me, maybe you'll know someone who does know me and they'll hopefully verify the things I've said here (or maybe I'm lying and have made everything up), most of what I say here is meaningless, take what other people say about me as who I really am.
I know very well that President won't be easy, and I thought a lot about whether I wanted to run or not and now it's up to you to decide who is the best person for the role. Regardless, I will continue to be an active member of music society, to try to give others the best classical musical experience at UCL.

Being part of music society has been such an important part of my time here at UCL, and I’d love to have the chance to give back.
My key objectives are to:
Create a stronger sense of community and promote inclusivity
- There sometimes can feel like there is a disconnect between instrumentalists and singers. To bridge this gap, I would plan more recitals and informal concerts, allowing for more frequent interactions.
- Recitals will also allow us to showcase solo/small group talent, and give society members more creative direction and choice.
- I’d encourage themed concerts, and introduce masterclasses/workshops to encourage artistic growth and engagement, as well as accessibility for those who are interested in Music Society but want to develop their technical skill. I understand the benefit of having one-off events that help attract new members.
Enhance our (online) presence
- Rebrand of our social media to give Music Society a more cohesive look and encourage more frequent posting.
- This will attract online attention, which will help get our name in the London music sphere
- Putting our ensembles on a booking site to market us and potentially aid in being booked for (paid?!) gigs
- I want to collaborate with other societies more to enhance visibility and create friendships.
I want to make Music Society fun and exciting! For a lot of us, music is a big part of our lives, but not a career path. I want Music society to feel enriching rather than taxing while maintaining a great reputation. Thank
