Muay Thai Club: Events Secretary

Dear UCL Muay Thai Committee,

I would want nothing more than to continue contributing to the best sports society in UCL, and so I am applying for the position of Events Secretary for this upcoming academic year. With extensive Muay Thai experience, including three fights, and a strong background in event management, I am confident I can contribute effectively to UCLMT events.

I have been consistent in my attendance to UCLMT events this year, and through the many fight nights I’ve gained valuable exposure to event organisation from both a participating fighter and spectator perspective. This has given me a clear understanding of the needs of both athletes and attendees, which will help in planning future events.

Additionally, I have organised high-profile conferences, including the International Surgery and Global Health Conference, where I was a Conference Officer. This role allowed me to manage logistics, communicate across international teams, and coordinate large-scale events. I have also attended other conferences, such as the International Undergraduate Surgery Conference, which further broadened my event planning skills.

My contributions as the current UCLMT Public Relations Secretary allowed me to collaborate closely with the committee, to promote events, and build relationships within the Muay Thai community across the UK, further fostering my teamwork / communication skills.
