My journey at MODO as Head of Production this year has been such a wild ride. I've had the privilege of arranging venues, organising our annual fashion show, liaising with venue staff, and producing videos for the show. I was able to secure our venue for the show (Bush Hall) all the way back in November, allowing ample time for the planning of all aspects of the show.

I have also built and maintained positive relationships with various staff members at Bush Hall, meaning that all issues and complications were addressed immediately and effectively. These experiences have allowed me to devote myself to MODO, as well as prepare me to take on the role of Vice President by allowing me to hone my communication and problem-solving skills.

As Vice President, I will continue to foster an encouraging and welcoming community at MODO. I hope to create an environment where every member of MODO feels comfortable and free to express their individuality — after all, that's what fashion is about.

More specifically, I wish to build on the success of this year by organising more socials and workshops to foster connections between members. I also hope to maintain the positive new changes we have made to the show this year, such as the behind the scenes video introducing each designer's collection.

Having found great success as your Head of Production this year, I am confident that I am capable and have the necessary skillset to continue to serve you all as your Vice President next year.

Mehak Mondair

Hi – you’ll know me as Treasurer this past year, and I’ve absolutely adored the role. We’ve had an incredibly successful fashion show, and I’d love to take on a bigger role in keeping things going. That’s why I’m running for Vice-President—to continue supporting MODO and help make next year even better.

Having worked closely with the committee, I know what it takes to run this society smoothly. Whether it’s budgeting for the 2025 fashion show and afterparty, handling contracts and legal matters, or navigating the labyrinth of SU admin, I’ve been deeply involved in making sure MODO operates efficiently. In addition, my experiences working LFW allow me to bring an industry perspective to event planning. I’d use all of this to assist the Pres, keep things running behind the scenes, and ensure our events remain ambitious and exciting.

As a Maths student (and a Notion baddie), I am confident with organisation, problem-solving, and getting things done. I want to make MODO a space where creativity and talent can flourish—supporting designers, models, photographers, and all members in bringing their visions to life. The goal is to create an environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute and be part of something incredible.

I've said this before, but MODO is a community of the most immaculate and well-dressed souls I have ever met—I have loved working with all of you for the previous year and would be honoured to do so once more as your Vice-President.

Thank you xo

Cliona McDonald Heffernan

Growing up in Paris, I have always been drawn to the world of fashion, placing great value on the way I dress and present myself. As I never properly had the chance to fully express my interest in fashion before, university has provided the perfect opportunity to pursue my interests and get involved in the fashion community.  Modelling in the fashion show made me realise how I would love to take on a much more active role in MODO. I believe I have so much more to offer to the society - although I’ll admit, I now fully understand the patience and ability to remain calm under pressure required to be a model!! As vice president, however, I would make it my responsibility to ensure that such an exciting experience is as stress-free as possible for everyone involved, which I believe can happen with a little planning ahead and organization…I have always been a highly organized person and genuinely enjoy sorting out my calendar and making to-do lists! My experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) - the most stressful and overwhelming period with never ending deadlines - further enhanced these skills, developing strong time management abilities, teaching me how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality. From planning and organizing events to managing people and ensuring projects run smoothly, I would love the position of Vice President of our MODO Fashion Society so … vote for me please :)
