MODO Fashion Society: Head of Photography

Hi everyone, my name is Songju, and I’m writing this to (hopefully!) convince you to vote for me as your next Head of Photography.

As someone who has been an active member of MODO for the last few years, I can confidently say that this society means the world to me. It has been my safe haven at university, providing me with incredible photography opportunities both within and beyond uni. More than that, it has introduced me to some of my closest friends. Photography is the discipline I am most passionate about, and I would love the opportunity to give back to MODO through it. Having essentially started my photography journey through MODO in my first year, I understand how daunting it can be to join with zero experience. That’s why I am committed to making the photography side of MODO as inclusive and beginner-friendly as possible.

I believe I’m well-suited for this role for 3 main reasons. Firstly, I am one of the few remaining MODO photographers and have consistently participated in everything photography-related, from shooting for MODO magazines to capturing moments at fashion shows. Secondly, I have hands-on experience organising MODO photoshoots and bringing photographers into the society, having arranged photowalks and studio sessions not just this year, but in previous years as well. Lastly, I consider myself to be really reliable with the more dry admin tasks.
