Yeeun Yeo

I believe my extensive experience in financial management and fundraising, along with my strong passion for MedLife’s mission of volunteering abroad and supporting meaningful causes, makes me a suitable candidate for the role of Treasurer. I have led and organized multiple fundraising events, including successful bake sales, where I was responsible for budgeting, organizing volunteers, and tracking funds. I also have experience organizing a fundraising marathon, including setting participation and venue fees and negotiating with vendors. I learned how to build relationships with local vendors for donations, and manage careful budgeting. I also organized a charity auction by collaborating with local businesses for donation, which raised significant funds and fostered community involvement. I am confident I can bring the same attention to detail and responsibility to MedLife.
I have applied for grants in the past for various projects, including a marathon, pad projects, and magazine publications during high school. I wrote detailed proposals that outlined our project's goals, projected expenses, and how the funds would be used. I also tracked all communication, ensuring that all necessary documentation was submitted and following up regularly to confirm that the grants were successfully approved. I have gained proficiency in researching potential funders, writing compelling proposals, and collaborating with organizations to ensure that grants are secured and used appropriately.
