Who am I?
Hey! My name is Archie Worth, I will be going into third year and I'm running for the leadership position of Welfare Officer this election, having been an events officer last year.
What do I do last year?
- Hosted and Co-wrote two wildly successful pub quizzes, the first of which had over 50 attendees.
- Organised and ran an intercollegiate social at Simmons, attended by Kings, LSE, and even Imperial!
- Help run a first year analysis workshop with a PhD student, as well as ran my own weekly general workshop.
- Invigilated and administered parts of the integration bee.
- Attended various meetings on behalf of the society.
What do I hope to achieve this year?
- Continue running the events you know and love, with a particular emphasis on socials.
- Push non-math students to join, creating a safe and inclusive space for anyone with an interest in mathematics.
- Establish a Math society Football Team.
- Keep the workshops running, as well as potentially expanding their scope.
- Support the rest of society from a leadership position, especially when it comes to events and welfare.
- Champion the interests of state-educated pupils and other under-privileged backgrounds in mathematics.
I'm a driven and social individual, with an obvious passion for the mathematics society and the wellbeing of its members. Thank you for taking the time to read my nomination, and don't forget to vote Archie Worth!

Hello everyone!
My name is Kseniia, and I am a first-year Maths with Economics student.
Studying a STEM degree can be mentally draining. Many of us struggle to keep up with the workload, manage exam stress, or deal with a tight schedule. On top of that, there are internship applications, networking, and figuring out our path in the industry. It can definitely feel overwhelming! That’s why taking care of ourselves is key to maintaining a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
In my opinion, the community around us plays a crucial role in shaping our well-being, and I believe this community should be as welcoming and warm as possible. The Maths Society is not just a place for academic improvement — it should also be a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth and deepens meaningful connections between its members. It should be a safe space for like-minded people to connect, support one another, and grow together.
With 12 years of experience in yoga, I have developed skills in stress management and mindfulness, which I believe will help me nurture a cooperative and caring community. As Wellbeing Officer, I would work to promote mental well-being, create opportunities for members to unwind, and ensure that no one feels alone in this intense but exciting journey.
I would be delighted to support you all throughout the challenges!
