Hello I am Sanchithaa, currently in my 3/4th of the Mathematics course. As I am going into my final year I thought to not miss the opportunity of being apart of the ADM society. I feel that joining the committee would allow me to be a part of making the experience of studying Mathematics at UCL more enjoyable. I want to do this by holding socials; hearing students’ concerns and help work on them; help arrange talks; overall being a support for my fellow students. So, if you would like to see me a part of the committee next year, please do vote for me!
Dear Mathematics Society Members,
I am Michelle, a third-year mathematics student running for Head of Outreach. With more than 5 years of society leadership experience I am currently an Events Officer at Maths Soc where I have gained hands on knowledge about organising Maths Soc events. This is demonstrated in my partaking in organising events based on our member’s opinions, such as the Career Panel event where we hosted UCL Maths alumni working across industries to give career advice for maths students. I have gained experience as a transition mentor and a spring intern at Citadel. Utilising my communication skills in these roles I know I can similarly launch more engaging events into our society.
My agenda:
Events - I will bring valuable support in our events. With a focus on key figures who will teach our members about academic and career progressions.
Growth - To expand Maths Soc’s network in both academically and professionally, along with workshops where you can broaden your knowledge.
Collaboration - Increasing the amount of inter-society and departmental collaborations so that you can have more event opportunities to assist you breaking into your dream future.
I am passionate about empowering each of you to achieve your aspirations. Together, we can make Maths Soc a platform for growth, opportunity, and success.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I’m Tevin Tan, a first-year Maths and Mathematical Physics student, and I’m really keen to apply for the Head of Outreach role with MathSoc.
Back in Dublin, I was a Math Olympiad tutor and helped organise national competitions, so I’ve had plenty of experience reaching out to schools, associations, and students to encourage participation and build engagement. I really enjoyed creating those connections, and I’d love to bring that energy to MathSoc—whether it’s collaborating with other societies, organising outreach events, or getting more people excited about maths.
I’m a strong communicator, super organised, and passionate about sharing opportunities. I’d be thrilled to help MathSoc connect with more people both within UCL and beyond!
