Srinidhi Seshan

Hey I’m Srinidhi, a first year student here at UCL. I’m originally from Palakkad but grew up in Budapest. Throughout my life, I’ve always made an effort to stay connected to my Kerala roots, and I feel that the UCL Malayali Society provides the perfect space for me to immerse myself in our culture and community and build a sense of home away from home.

As Marketing Secretary, my goal would be to expand and enrich our society’s presence, ensuring that every event, tradition, and initiative not only reaches both Malayalis but also the wider UCL community- for example through social media campaigns. In school, I took on roles like Head Student and Science Prefect, which helped me improve my leadership, organization and collaboration skills, along with honing my promotion and strategic marketing skills when planning events. I’m excited to bring that experience to make our society’s marketing fun, engaging, and inclusive.

Thank you for reading my manifesto, I’d love the opportunity to contribute to this amazing community, and I hope to have your support!

Edwin John

Namaskaram! As a proud native of Thodupuzha and an enthusiastic advocate for our vibrant culture, I am excited to present my candidacy for Marketing Secretary of the Malayali Society. My roots in our rich traditions, combined with a robust background in digital marketing and event promotion, uniquely position me to enhance our society’s outreach and engagement.

With hands-on experience in designing dynamic marketing campaigns, I have honed the ability to connect with diverse audiences and bring our community closer together. My vision is to create innovative social media strategies that not only celebrate our cultural heritage but also attract talent and interest from younger generations. By harnessing targeted online initiatives, engaging multimedia content, and interactive platforms, I will work to amplify our society's presence both on campus and in the broader community.

I am eager to collaborate with local businesses, academic institutions, and cultural organisations to promote our events and initiatives. Together, we will create memorable experiences that resonate with both traditional values and contemporary trends, ensuring that our cultural narratives shine brightly in every endeavour.

I humbly request your vote and support as we embark on this journey to elevate the Malayali Society’s influence and connectivity. Let us build a future where innovation meets tradition, proudly representing our heritage from Kerala and beyond!
