Lenka Dang

I have enjoyed my year as a welfare officer at mahjong society, and I would like to continue. Especially since I am a fairly new player, I am happy to ensure inclusivity of the society. I enjoy the fun, friendly and relaxed environment.

I would be happy to continue being a welfare officer for next year, but I wish all candidates good luck! Whoever wins would be as lucky as I was the past year.

P.S.: The banana costume is mine.

Bernard Yip

Hi! I am Bernard, a 2nd year Civil Engineering student. I have been playing Mahjong for over 5 years now, and I am experienced in playing various Hong Kong styles. I love Mahjong because of how it is strategy-based but winning also requires a certain amount of luck, and before you know it something unexpected will just happen!

I have been joining the society and frequently attending sessions over the past two years, and appreciate that Mahjong is well enjoyed by many students across UCL. I truly believe that we should all be open to new opportunities. Getting to learn a new game can be quite tricky at start, especially when some of the tiles are in Chinese and thus may be unfamiliar to some.

I hope that by standing for this position and working for the Society, I can help promote a fair and harmonious environment to all players and ensure that everyone have a chance to play and learn, no matter beginner or advanced. I will keep an eye on anyone who needs help and point them towards the right direction.

If you would like me to be your welfare officer in the coming year, please vote for me now. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Oscar Chong

Fellow Mahjong players, I'm Oscar, and like many of you, I'm deeply passionate about this game.

I've been an active member of our society, consistently participating and enjoying the social sessions.

I will try my very best to bring as much treats and gifts during festivals to you all!

I'm also committed to ensuring our shared love for Mahjong continues to thrive, and I’m ready to work with you to make our society even stronger.

Please support me as a welfare officer!
