As the Events Officer for the Live Music Society this year, I’ve learned a lot about the financial side of running our events. I’ve seen how important it is to keep track of costs like replacing broken equipment and making sure we invest in better gear for our members. I’ve also worked with the bar to hit spending targets and make sure our events break even, so I understand how to keep everything balanced. With my background in physics, I’ve got strong math and problem-solving skills, which I think are perfect for managing the finances as Treasurer. I’m comfortable with budgeting and making sure everything stays on track, so the society can keep running smoothly and offering great experiences for everyone.

Hello! I’m Sally and I’m running to be your next Live Music Treasurer!
Performing at Extravabandza, playing gigs at Mully's, and being part of LM family have been among the best parts of my time here. From jamming at open mics to meeting incredible musicians, LM has created a space where we can share our passion for music. Being part of this community has been an amazing experience, and I want to contribute more significantly by helping the society continue to grow and thrive.
That’s why I’m running for Treasurer. With my economic background, I know my way around numbers. If elected, my priority will be allocating funds efficiently to improve technical equipment, venue access, and overall event quality. I’ll work closely with the committee to ensure every decision supports the long-term success of LM and its members. I also want to bring in potential funding and sponsorships to make LM events even bigger, more affordable, and accessible to everyone. Imagine better equipment, more gig opportunities, and even free stuff at our events—that’s what I want to work towards!

LM society has been the most rewarding and fun part of my time at UCL - I've been involved in Rhapsody, RnBlooms, House Band and many gigs at Mully's. As treasurer, I would keep the society financially stable while keeping it accessible for all members. My skillset is very well suited for the role. I am reliable, organised and have a strong attention to detail. I am also a clear communicator, so I will be able to effectively work with the committee to achieve the society's goals.
