Because I love this small community in UCL and I’m keen to expand and share it with others. I love all things health and wellbeing and feel I would be good at ensuring happiness within the society. I’m also up for helping with others roles if needed.

I am applying for the Welfare officer role as I am eager to promote student wellbeing and to create a supportive community within UCL's Lifestyle Medicine Society. Through Lifestyle Medicine's two main objectives (holistic health and preventative medicine) I want to be able to ensure our members are being supportive through Lifestyle Medicine's various events, whether that be the academic or mental health events.
As the current secretary of lifestyle medicine along with being the academic representative of my course, I have developed effective communication skills for outreach and communications between members and the committee. This will ensure that if members feel uncomfortable with other members or with the current initiatives of lifestyle medicine, their voices will be heard.
Life at UCL can be challenging for all years, but by being the welfare officer, I will create an inclusive and welcoming space for new and returning members. As the Welfare Officer, I will ensure an inclusive and supportive environment will be created within the committee and our socials, ensuring that wellbeing remains at the heart of our society
