K-POP Society: Vocal Captain

Hi, I’m Valerie! I’ve been with Kpop Soc for 2 years and over this time I’ve enjoyed so many events and shows from everyone here. Hopefully, as Vocal Captain, I’ll be able to help everyone enjoy their time in Kpop Soc as well! I’ve been singing for ages and I really hope to bring more vocal-related events to Kpop Soc next year, be it karaokes, covers, or even showcases ~ (I can even contribute my own mic if needed LOL)

Experience-wise, I’ve led vocal pieces before in all 3 of the society’s showcases (winter showcase, Blooms and IUKS), and I’ve also participated in the Welcome Fair. I’ve had to deal with my fair share of obstacles along the way, but seeing my members flourish and put on their best performances is a feeling you can’t replace! My degree also has a lot of group projects, so I’m very used to managing a team while balancing other commitments. Although I like to be organized for official stuff, I can improvise very well too!

I also listen to all sorts of kpop — ggs and bgs alike, no matter the (girls’) generation — so hmu if u have any song recs hehe :)
