K-POP Society: Treasurer

I’m running for Treasurer of the K-pop Society because I am truly passionate about and grateful for this community. In my very first year studying abroad, joining the society helped me make so many lovely friends and feel part of a big warm family. More importantly, I feel this role is a perfect match for me! Firstly, back in high school, I was part of the dance club committee and mainly looked after the club’s finances, worked closely with the school’s finance office, managed the budgets for several large-scale events and took care of ticket sales and processing upfront payments. At the same time, I also worked alongside the president to help solve various unexpected issues that came up during performances. Secondly, I also have experience communicating with sponsors. During my internship last summer, I worked with my team on promotional events, where we tailored our approach to introduce the company’s services in detail and successfully attracted sponsors. Also I worked on plenty of financial reports and data entry for the company during that time, and it made me realize that I’m great at handling tasks that require attention to detail!

I truly appreciate all the amazing memories I’ve gained from being part of this society, and I’d love the chance to give back and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes!

Hello, K-Pop Society!

I'm Anushka Daga, a first-year B.Sc. Economics student, and I am beyond excited to nominate myself for the role of your Treasurer! Why? I love K-pop, I love numbers, and I would love to "this one, this one, collaboration!" them.

I am organised, responsible, and detail-oriented — basically a walking-talking spreadsheet (minus the error messages). I have experience in accounting and financial evaluation through two previous internships, along with skills in sponsorship management and external communications from my role as an External Relations FYR for the Economists Society. in short, I know how to keep track of money and ensure we have funds for our events!

This role is the perfect opportunity for me to combine my love for m̶o̶n̶e̶y̶ finance with my interest in K-Pop, and I promise to handle our society’s budget with the same level of dedication I use to stream Ateez MVs!
