Yeva Tchaplya

As one of the most defining people of our generation once said, “Life is not a waste of time and time is not a waste of life. So, let’s stop wasting time, get wasted and have the time of our lives.” As your Social Secretary, I will ensure that the JSoc provides a vibrant and lively environment for all of JewCL. I will be committed to organising more JewNights, including Jews&Brews (legendary pub crawls) nights and work to plan a memorable and exhilarating Israel trip, balancing cultural events and unforgettable nightlife.

Another one of my plans is to organise matchmaking events with other JSoc’s - because let’s be honest, our parents would love that, and so would we. Whether it’s speed dating or blind dating, i’ll make meeting your beshert (or new friends) more fun than ever.

But JSoc isn’t just about new big nights out - it’s also about keeping our iconic traditions alive. I’ll make sure Hanukkah Ice Skating , Tel Aviv Takes London and the JSoc ball stay as epic as ever, bringing incredible vibes and people together.

And of course we can’t forget to hype up our amazing sports teams. I’ll work to organise many watch parties and team nights out.

With me as your Social Sec, you can expect a buzzing and unforgettable JSoc experience. Vote for me and let’s have the time of our lives - Pitbull style.

Harry Burns

Hey there, I’m Harry!

You might spot me at every lunch and learn—I’ve been a regular over my 3 years at UCL, because who can resist free lunch twice a week?

I’m running for social secretary this year. Events are the heart of JSOC, uniting us all. This year, we’ve rocked Tel Aviv Takes London and the Freshers Pub Crawl. As social secretary, I’d love to dream up more events to strengthen our community.

I’ve made some fantastic friends in JSOC, and I hope to create even more opportunities for us to connect. And hey, you never know—you might just find yourself a shiduch at one of these events!
