I’m standing for Vice President of Outreach because of my keen interest in finance and commitment to expanding UCLIS’s network of alumni, sponsors, and industry speakers. I plan to structure the Outreach executive team into three areas: alumni, sponsors, and speakers. This will create a more focused and effective approach, ensuring stronger connections across these key groups. Additionally, I want to improve cross-team collaboration by working closely with Client Relations, Alumni Relations, and Speaker Relations.
- Involved in Client Relations division this year, securing multiple sponsorships for the society.
- Experience and familiarity in the society, assisting during multiple events this year.
- Helped with conference organizing and attended the whole conference.
If you had invested just $1,000 in NVIDIA in 2003, you’d have over $600,000 today. Wise investments pay off, and- through my 3-pillar strategy below- I hope you see that voting for me is one of them.
-
Expand the Finance Conference
The finance conference is our flagship event, but we can take it to new heights. By securing high-profile speakers from IBD to AM to PE, we’ll provide members with invaluable insights and networking opportunities, making it a must-attend event; a direct pipeline to industry leaders and career opportunities.
-
Grow Our £10k Investment Portfolio
My goal is to expand our current £10k portfolio by diversifying asset classes and introducing a structured investment strategy. We’ll analyze idiosyncratic opportunities in equities and ETFs, ensuring members gain exposure to real-world portfolio management. By involving students in decision-making through an investment committee, we’ll create an environment where learning meets capturing alpha.
-
Strengthen Mentorship
I will organize tailored events for first, second and third year students, addressing the specific challenges and opportunities at each stage. This approach ensures that every member receives relevant, impactful experiences. Additionally, we’ll organize exclusive career development sessions covering CV building, technical interview prep, and networking strategies.
To make this possible, your vote is crucial. Together, let’s make our Investment Society the best it can be. I value your

Kata Mesterhazy
I am standing for Vice President of Outreach because I want to help expand UCL Investment Society’s reach and strengthen its connections with students, industry professionals, and sponsors. The society plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between students and the finance industry, and I want to ensure that more people can benefit from the opportunities it provides.
In this role, I would focus on increasing engagement through strategic partnerships, networking events, and sponsorships. My experience as an Academic Representative has equipped me with strong communication and relationship-building skills, which will help in securing collaborations and ensuring the society continues to grow. Additionally, my background in Mathematics with Economics gives me a solid understanding of the industry, allowing me to connect effectively with professionals and firms.
I am committed to making the society more accessible, engaging, and impactful. As VP of Outreach, I will work hard to strengthen partnerships, attract top speakers and sponsors, and enhance the society’s presence both within UCL and in the wider finance community.
