Election post

For international students in particular, coming to uni is a major life switch. I remember being so confused about all the visa details and Oyster cards! I'll make sure to accommodate a smooth transition for all of us by coming up with events that actually break the ice between people, and provide a better guideline for students settling in London. I'll try to prioritize events that take into account our mental health as well. Walks, bakery crawls, flag quizzes, foodie networks- there's going to be something for everyone :)
Having been involved as the president of many clubs in high school (MUN, theater, basketball, film-making, gastronomy), I know how to organize a timeline and represent our unique hobbies that Londoners may not be familiar with. I'm also very keen on breaking stereotypes as I've been exposed to many as a Turkish girl, and will be prioritizing unity and non-judgmental togetherness while also introducing fun ice-breaker events.
I'd say I'm the perfect balance between organization and fun, and I'd love to represent the international community's voice by making sure we have our survival tools (guides for getting accustomed to London and logistics- see it say it sorted lol) and also events promoting our inclusion within the school. I believe I'm an approachable person and would love to voice any concerns of our community as well :)
