Indian Society: Treasurer

I'm standing for UCL Indian Society Treasurer because, as First Year Representative this year, I’ve had the opportunity to help organise both Dhamaal and Jashn, gaining firsthand experience in how the society manages its finances to deliver large-scale events. Working behind the scenes, I’ve seen how important budgeting, securing sponsorships, and managing expenses are in keeping our events running smoothly.

I’ve also spoken to the current Treasurer, Kumaresh, who has given me valuable insights into the role and the challenges that come with it. His advice has reinforced my understanding of the responsibilities involved, from handling sponsorship negotiations to ensuring financial sustainability. With this experience, I want to ensure the society remains financially strong while continuing to grow, making our events even bigger and better.
