Election post

Namaste everyone!
To me, hindu society is a second home, a place to live your dharma through a variety of culturally enriching experiences such as weekly aartis, mandir trips and new sports like kho kho and kabbadi. I feel as though I have fully engrossed myself in everything Hsoc has to offer this year and made so many amazing friends which is why I am so passionate to lead Hsoc as president next year.
As a FYR, I have been exposed to all parts of Hindu society and I have gained so many valuable experiences that will enable me to make a good president. From leading kho kho sessions, I have learnt to condense my thoughts to more efficiently convey my points. The creative freedom I had when co-leading a sanskaar session on yoga and mindfulness was an amazing experience and something I would love to continue into next year. I would like to bring a larger focus onto spirituality, through more regular yoga and meditation sessions. I feel as though stress management is a critical part of uni life and through initiating these sessions more people will be able to use Hindu society as a comforting family to unwind and go to lectures more focused. As an FYR, being in and around the planning of our flagship events such as Rangeela and Dball has helped me to understand what needs to be done backstage and that is why I feel confident in my ability to recreate these events bigger and better.
Join me on this dharmic journey through which I would love to lead you as your next Hsoc president.
