Harry Potter Society: Treasurer

Hello everyone!

My name is Nowshin and I'm running for the treasurer position in the Harry Potter Society because I love Harry Potter and I love everyone in the Harry Potter Society. The society has been so welcoming and warm, and I have met such amazing people that I want to give back.

As Treasurer, I will be meticulous in managing our budget to ensure that every penny is spent on making our weekly sessions as fun as possible. I will listen to what all the members enjoy and don't enjoy to tailor our expenses, providing the best activities (and snacks) possible.

I have experience in tutoring, which has allowed me to gain skills in communication, patience, and organization through making lesson plans and explaining complex concepts clearly. I will transfer these skills to the role of Treasurer to provide the most comprehensive—and secure as Gringotts—financial plans for our amazing society. You can expecto (patronum) financial stability with me—Nowshin.

I want to be Treasurer of the Harry Potter Society because I’m a huge fan of the series and have been a committed member, regularly attending events this year. The society has been a fantastic space to share my love for Harry Potter, and I want to give back by helping it thrive. As Treasurer, I’ll be dedicated to managing finances responsibly while ensuring events remain fun, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. I’ll work hard to create a welcoming environment where all members feel valued, whether long time fans or newcomers, making next year’s events as magical as possible!
