Hi there I'm Noah

I'm excited to announce my candidacy for the position of president; having served as president for the 2023-2024 and 2024-25 terms. During which we have expanded significantly in membership, held weekly lessons/practice sessions and fortnightly events including jams, masterclasses and socials including one in collaboration with Piano Society. Not to mention we are soon to hold our first gig 'Strings Unleashed' which features both band and solo performances.

A bit about me, I have been playing for 10 years and have progressively grown a great appreciation and love for guitar and the culture surrounding it including playing (obviously), education and gear. I began playing acoustic fingerstyle, then later transitioning to rock/electric and now I am focussing on getting groovy on bass guitar. I enjoy playing a wide range of genres including funk, math rock and pop.

Looking towards the future, I intend to establish stronger teaching frameworks, organise more socials, and showstopping performances, where members will get to display their prowess under watchful eyes, no pressure ;). I am also looking forward to fostering stronger relationships with other societies.
