Greenough Society: Treasurer

Having served as Treasurer of the Greenough Committee this past year, I’ve gained valuable experience in managing the society’s finances and ensuring events run smoothly. Over the past two years on the committee, I’ve seen how this society operates and have played a key role in organizing many events and socials. Now, I’m eager to build on the work I’ve done and continue contributing by running for Treasurer for a second year. 

My goals as Treasurer: 

• Member benefits: Continue to find ways to introduce perks such as partial subsidies for travel and food on trips
• Lower event costs: Finding ways to cut expenses and reduce ticket prices for big annual events like the Christmas dinner
• Increasing Funds: Finding new revenue streams such as applying for grants, collaborating with other societies and selling merch

One of the most rewarding aspects of this role has been creating funding opportunities and organizing events that both students and staff can enjoy. I take pride in making these experiences possible, whether it’s through budgeting effectively, securing financial support, or finding creative ways to keep event costs low while maintaining quality. I am committed to driving positive changes in this society, and I believe my experience, skills, and dedication make me well-suited for this role once again.
