As Welfare Officer I will be your first point of contact for any club related concerns, ensuring that all members feel safe, heard and supported. I believe that my open and approachable nature will be vital for this role, by creating a comfortable environment, where members can share issues or suggestions to make our club more inclusive and accessible.

Having served as the clubs Social Secretary this year, I understand the importance of fostering a strong community. I would use this role to actively support the new Social Secretary in organising events that bring members together to create a strong community dynamic and facilitate a safe, open space for our members.

Golf has been a big part of my life since I was five, and I have personally experienced its positive impact on my mental well-being. I wish to make the UCL Golf Club the best that it can be, so Golf can have just as much impact on others, as it has me.

Joy Zhang

Hi, my name is Joy. I love golf, surfing and travelling and I’m in my second year studying Medical Physics. I enjoyed facilitating range sessions and activities in the past year as Chief Coordinator in Golf Club. I perceive our society as a platform where everyone can make new friends and by learning from each other improve their game of golf. As Welfare Officer, I would show support and give courage to members. My goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our members while building a strong, supportive community. I plan to host events for relaxation and build social connections, and aim to make well-being a natural part of our club culture, ensuring everyone feels valued within our community.
