Pleasure to meet you guys, my name is Burton. I have been involved with the Golf Society since 2023 and my time as Team Captain and Outreach Officer has given me great experience to helping golfers improve and enjoy themselves. Working as Team Captain, I am experienced with helping players navigate the golf course. With this, I am excited to extend my ability to help golfers improve on the range. As a qualified golfing professional, I want to work with more beginners and intermediates to help develop strong swing fundamentals. Below are my plans for UCL Golf 2025/26:
Plans for UCL Golf 2025/26
1. Team Tryouts
I will help organise team tryouts from September to October. Boosting performance and participation will be the main goal.
2. Corporate Golf Events
To strengthen our industry ties, I plan to host on-course and range/simulator events, inviting professionals from sectors. These will provide members with valuable networking opportunities.
3. Golf & Volunteering Initiatives
I will collaborate with select charities to organise volunteer-led golf sessions, making the sport more accessible is a passion of mine.
4. Charity Golf Tournament
I will organise a charity tournament with an entry fee. I hope to be able to support a cause which makes sports more accessible.
5. UCL Golf Trip – South of Europe (May/June 2026)
To wrap up the year, I aim to organise a golf trip to a destination in Southern Europe, giving members a unique and exciting golf experience.
