Dear UCL Golf Club Committee,

I am excited to apply for Treasurer of the UCL Golf Club. As a Statistics student at UCL, I bring strong financial management and data analysis skills to ensure efficient budgeting and transparent fund allocation. My internship at Hangzhou Consumer Finance (杭银消金) provided experience in budget planning and expense tracking, which I will apply to optimize the club’s finances.

Having joined the golf club this year as both a member and committee member, I have settled in well and built strong connections with many members.

I am eager to take on the role of treasurer, as I am highly organised and committed to helping the club grow. A key focus will be working with the sponsorship officer and president to secure sponsorships that support the club’s development. We have already begun expanding our Instagram presence and reaching out to potential sponsors, and I am confident we can secure meaningful partnerships.

I would also like to revisit the idea of transitioning to a driving range with a TrackMan or InRange system to enhance the experience for all members. Additionally, I will explore a more suitable winter training facility, such as an undercover range with heated bays or an indoor simulator.

Improving our club equipment is another priority, including upgrading our clubs to be more user-friendly and better quality. I will also work with the kit officer to improve our merchandise selection and streamline ordering, making it easier for members to access quality gear.

Beyond equipment, I aim to facilitate more social events, building on the success of competitions like the scramble while introducing new formats to make play more inclusive. I would also explore organising a summer golf trip abroad!
