Hi everyone,

I'm running to be YOUR Gliding Club Treasurer. It's time Gliding Club managed their financial structures in the way THEY WANT, and who better can serve it than someone who has worked on fleets of UAVs (around 700-1000 UAVs in one fleet) on extremely tight budget constraints. As your treasurer, I will ensure the monetary resources available to Gliding Club are used to maximise socials and collabs with other clubs and universities. Additionally, I'll try to minimise our costs on other events to support potential talks where the process of getting a SPL or PPL can be explored for interested pilots without diminishing our socials' quality and quantity. I personally understand the joy derived from cross university socials so I'd strive to ensure the society maintains good networks with other universities' gliding clubs. I want Gliding Club to also cater to serious pilots as well as newer pilots to exemplify outreach. I will secure more sponsors via advertising through races as well. So, vote for me to be YOUR Gliding Club Treasurer TODAY!

Roy Han

Hi everyone!!!

Having served as Vice President this year, I have been actively involved in all aspects of the club—from purchasing merchandise for the welcome fair and organizing weekly sign-ups to planning socials and training freshers in glider basics.

I regularly visit the airfield, even when I’m not flying, to maintain strong communication between the club and the airfield. Additionally, I am on track to achieve my solo endorsement by 2026. This hands-on involvement has given me a deeper understanding of the club’s operations and financial needs, whether for events, equipment, or training resources.

As Treasurer, I will leverage this insight to allocate funds transparently and strategically, ensuring every penny supports our collective passion for gliding and helps us soar to new heights together. Beyond financial stewardship, I am committed to expanding our weekend flying capacity and strengthening our partnership with the London Gliding Club in Dunstable, which has the potential to at least double our available flying slots in the coming year. By securing additional opportunities and optimizing resources, I aim to make gliding more accessible to all members and enhance the overall experience for both new and experienced students.
