Hazel Ling

hi everyone! i would love to shoot my shot at being your GV vice president for the 2025/26 year. while i am still completing my BSc in Linguistics here at UCL, i believe that i can bring fresh perspectives and a strong passion for all things SLT to GV. i want to bridge the gap between undergrads interested in SLT and create more fun networking events for GV, while also providing work experience related experiences like volunteering and mentorship opportunities + workshops in SLT. being one of this year's communication officers has offered me lots of insight into the spirit of the society and i wish to uphold that and make it an even more inclusive space for all SLTs-to- be! i would love the chance to contribute to GV's growth and legacy and help strengthen our shared passion for the field <3

Saamia Tejani

Hi! My name is Saamia, and I have been part of the Giving Voice Society for the past three years, first as Welfare Officer for two consecutive years and then as Events Officer. I’ve had the privilege of watching the society evolve and grow, which has deepened my passion for promoting Speech and Language Therapy and motivated me to take the next step by nominating myself for the role of Vice-President. Over the past three years, I have seen firsthand how Giving Voice has created a platform to raise awareness for SLT and foster a strong sense of community amongst students. As Vice-President, I hope to assist in supporting the society whilst also expanding opportunities for students to collaborate and feel supported throughout their university journey. Through these roles, I have developed a clear understanding of what makes events successful and meaningful for members. As Vice-President, I would support in delivering more SLT events and talks and supporting society members!
